Vaginal & rectal valium experiences?

Thank you for the tip on crushing and mixing with KY jelly, Violet and Grammy. I have thought of doing this before but have never had the nerve to do so. I have asked doctors to prescribe the suppositories for me, but none of them have been willing because they have never heard of them. Dr Renney said he had heard of them but had never prescribed them, he told me to ask my PCP. I have not tried asking my Gyn yet though, he is next on the list.

If you use Valium in any form and you drive, if you are in an accident (even if it's not your fault), you can get a DUI. Even if you have a doctor's prescription!!!

Do not drive with medication.

This is true of every med I am on I believe (valium, neurontin, ultram), sad but true, and I have to drive. I had to go to traffic school for a speeding ticket, and I quizzed the teacher about this topic, and he said the law is very, very ambiguous about RX's you take regularly - very much up to the discretion of a police officer whether to charge you, or a judge whether to let the charge stand. I take the risk, there is this need to have a life which overrides many other factors.

I sincerely hope you don't have an accident under the influence and override somebody else's need be healthy or survive. I mean that. It took me one day of driving while on Neurontin to realize it doesn't make me a better driver AT ALL. I feel fortunate that I got home without incident; I did not use the medication any further. There's a lot more at stake than just a ticket.

I feel normal on the stuff because you build a tolerance. It is when you start on a new med and are adjusting, that caution is needed. I am not high on the dose of meds I am on - only have short term memory loss and have to write stuff down constantly to avoid being a total flake.

These do help but I also get an extremely dry mouth from using them either vaginally or rectally. But on days when you just can not take it anymore they do help. They were off the market for a bit but now they are back

do the belladonna and opium suppositories have to be made at a special compounding pharmacy also?

I think I might have had a reaction to the opium suppositories on a nerve flare day and drinking some japanese sake. I don't know what happened... but after a few sips and one bite of my food, I started shaking uncontrollably tonight, teeth chattering, chills and nauseous. I had one suppository vaginally and one rectally. my pain went from level 8 to level 10 cause the rectal suppository created gas and pressure (oh brother) and I could hardly walk. It was so scary. I only had a few sips of Sake too... So... I always remember not to combine alcohol with pain meds, but I totally forgot with the suppositories. Let my night of misery be a reminder to you all. 4 hours after and I'm mostly back to normal. whew

Also, curious if the shaking could have actually been from my nerve being irritated too, cause when I sat, it got worse one time. Like just pain overload creating shaking? The pain hit me out of nowhere. I am in Phoenix to see Dr. Hibner tomorrow, and it's like either the travel had a delayed pain effect, or the suppository created rectal gas and that did me in. I don't know, but it wasn't cool!

Regarding meds in general, is there a place where we could list the different classes of drugs and then have people comment on them and their combinations. A reference place for all of us ? For example, I use MS Contin slow release morphine and I'm on a low dose and I don't have any mental side effects. I have to watch for constipation though. Just wondering if we could create that in the med section? What do all think ?
