Hi
I have lots of the symptoms described here - for about 10 days now - but no pain which seems unusual. This follows a cycle ride - only about 10 miles - but on a bike which I don't use much and I thought the saddle was uncomfortable.
I am pretty much numb from my waist down especially in my left leg, with constant pins and needles.
Not incontinent but hard to know what's going on down there!
Sitting is ok, walking is ok, driving is ok - but I don't have much confidence in my legs because I can't feel anything much.
My GP sent me to the hospital where I hade numerous examiniations plus xrays and an MRI scan - they said everything ok - it is peripheral nerve damage which will get better - but no sign of improvement so far - nine days.
I can see I am lucky compared with the difficulties many of you have but I am a bit worried - does this sound familiar to anyone?
Thanks
David

Re: newboy
I am one of the few here that has severe numbness, and not too much pain.
Numbness for me is entire pelvic region and no improvement after about 9 months now.
I do not know the cause of my problem, but it sure sounds like yours is from the biking.
Read the info in the board and get some treatment fast..the longer it goes, the more difficult it will be to treat.
Minimally, try a some anti inflammatories...high dose of advil for a few days could be helpful..especially since the onset is recent.
Good luck.

Thank you for your response pn person
It seems I am lucky that some feeling is slowly returning. I am booked in to see a neurologist but not sure how long.
Hope you see some progress this year
Thanks again
