Does anyone know if you can get a MRN if you have an implant? I have an Intrathecal Pain Pump and I know you can't get MRI's but am not sure of the other.

MRI/MRN
Re: MRI/MRN
A MRN is a standard MRI so if you cannot get a MRI, I am afraid that you are out of luck. The difference is in the specific magnetic stream sequences used to image the pelvis and of course the computer post processing to discriminate the nerves themselves from adjacent tissue.
2002 PN pain started following a fall on a wet marble floor
2004 Headache in the pelvis clinic. Diagnosed with PNE by Drs. Jerome Weiss, Stephen Mann, and Rodney Anderson
2004-2007 PT, Botox, diagnosed with PNE by Dr. Sheldon Jordan
2010 MRN and 3T MRI showing PNE. Diagnosed with PNE by Dr. Aaron Filler. 2 failed PNE surgeries.
2011-2012 Horrific PN pain.
2013 Experimented with various Mind-body modalities
3/2014 Significantly better
11/2014 Cured. No pain whatsoever since

Re: MRI/MRN
Cindy, Are you positive you can not get an MRI. I was told by my doctor that they can interrogate the pump, then you go for the MRI, and then back to get the pump turned back on.
Do you have the pump for PN or for other reasons??
