Concerned about Penile Numbness after PNE surgery

Post by AliPasha1 »

Hi Everybody,

I am really concerned about the development of Penile numbness that I have heard from a few gentleman who had surgery with Houton,Profesor Roger Robert of Nantes and Dr. Hibner .Since I am scheduled to have surgery with Dr. Hibner soon I am really concerned at the moment because I have no intention of having Penile numbness after the surgery.

Please let me know waht your thoughts are.

Kind Regards,
Ali

Ali,

I assume you are having pudendal nerve decompression surgery with Dr. Hibner, since that is all he does right now. Did these gentlemen have the numbness before the surgery, or was it a new development? I assume it was something new. This does not sound good. I think I would contact Dr. Hibner and ask him. Hope your surgery goes well.

Hi Paulette,

None of them had this beforethe surgery. They developed it after the surgery. They all seem to have lost 50% of their sensation in their Penis.I am very concerned indeed now.I need to talk to Dr. Hibner about this.

Is the numbness improving for them as time continues? I know my clitoris was numb before and was much worse after surgery but it is slowly improving and about back to pre-op level numbness. I wouldn't be surprised if this resolve with time.

Hi nyt,

They believe that it is improving very slowly. For some it is permanent.I went to all the way to have dorsal nerve surgery to get relief from my Penile burning and I can't even contemplate to have a numb Penis or a loss of sensation it.The numbness will translate into some of the sensory nerves being damaged during the surgery.

I am really getting tired of this PNE nonsense.
