PT in Missouri

Post by kat »

I don't know where else to post this so forgive me. Brook is the only PT listed for the state of Missouri. There are two other ones. Brook sent me to Carla who is covered by my ins. (a CIGNA plan)! She is amazing. I just want to suggest that if you can't find a PT, you may want to call those listed to see if they will recommend someone who may not be on the site. Let me know if you want Carla's info.

Kathy
Born with pudendal and obtorator neuralgia. 32 years of being misdiagnosed.
Surgery with Conway 7/14/10. Internal burning cured!
Currently in PT for many pelvic floor issues due to having PN for so long.

Kat,
I work for a PT who was not listed, and he wound up getting listed through a PM conversation I had with Violet. You can probably PM any of the Mods with full info about the non-listed PT's; I'm sure they would be happy to have the leads as they are always spot-on about doing their best to find resources for all of us (Thanks Mods!). Eventually, this post will get buried so best to get them onto the main PT listing page if possible.
pelvic pain started 1985 age 14 interstitial cystitis. Refused medical care from age 17, did GREAT with self care for years.
2004 PN started gradually, disabled by 2009. Underlying cause SIJD & Tarlov cysts
improved with PT & meds: neurontin, valium, nortriptyline, propanolol. (off nortriptyline & propanolol now, yay!)
Tarlov cyst surgery with Dr. Frank Feigenbaum March 20, 2012.
Results have been excellent so far; but I won't know my final functional level for a couple of years.

So I noticed that 23 people have looked at my original post (PT in Missouri).
Does that mean that there are 23 people in Missouri with PN and that they are just not telling me they are here?
I'm not trying to be pushy, I would just like to feel that I'm not the only one in the state with PN.
If there are other Missouri PN people, you don't have to talk to me if you don't want to.
It would be greatly appreciated if you would just be willing to tell me you're here though.
I'm feeling a little lonely.
