Just returned from a trip to an aunt's island cottage. Here's what I absolutely loved about it:
1. Swimming in the nude -- no bathing suit tugging at my crotch!
2. Speedboating (standing up of course) with no undies on under my skirt! Feeling the cool breeze on my bottom was divine!
3. Reclining on my tummy on a fully reclined beach chair -- no pain at all, finally enjoying a good book and enjoying the outdoors at the same time. No weird looks from passers by since many other people were doing the same!
4. Discovering that lying on my tummy in the car's passenger seat is so comfortable that I can finally visit the cottage again.
Enjoy the summer, everyone!

Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). Pelvic pain life coach Lorraine Faendrich helped me overcome the mind/body connection to chronic pain: http://www.radiantlifedesign.com

Wonderful, Lernica!
You've got two things there that I've never done - swimming in the nude, and speedboating - guess I've lived a sheltered life!
We had a day out on our narrowboat yesterday, it is a separate world out there on the water, for us it is a wonderful de-stresser. Sunshine, quietness, and being in the countryside in the middle of nowhere - that'll do for me.
