But did you really have no PN pain for 6 months?
Yes, I did. It was great. I only had pain when attempting intercourse postpartum, but that was because I was breastfeeding and had a 2nd degree tear. But it was doable and I think it would have gotten better once I stopped breastfeeding. I honestly wish I had never went to PT, but I didn't know PT could actually hurt me :(
I think you're doing an excellent job of putting the pieces of this puzzle together, Faith! :) You're probably tired of hearing it, but that 3T MRI in NYC would possibly solve any mystery that remains to be solved.
Yes, I think you are right about the 3T MRI. It's just hard financially to make a trip to NYC.

Faith I know what you mean about PT -- there were certain types of PT that made me worse also.

I had entrapments in 6 areas -- both Alcock's canals, both falciform processes, and both ligamental grips. Part of it was due to hardened, sclerosed ligaments impinging on the nerves. I'm not sure what caused the entrapments in the alcock's canals -- never actually asked Bautrant what he found there but my guess is the nerves were entrapped in fascia. I will never know if having a better pelvic alignment would have allowed me to avoid surgery but I am not for one minute sorry that I went the surgery route. It would be nice if there was a way to predict what would be the best route for you to take but I sure wouldn't blame you for being leery of more pelvic manipulations after already having bad results with that treatment option.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Hi Faith,

In the first part part of this thread, you were talking about having to fly to see a PT and then fly to see a PN doctor. I know that Dr. Hibner in Phoenix has a PT that he uses and she was talking about moving to his office. I am almost positive that there is a PT that the doctor in Houson uses.

When I went for my consultation with Dr. Hibner, I also had four appoinments with Loretta who is FABULOUS!

Thanks Kate,

I am actually going to see Hibner and Loretta in about a month (it's only been a 7 month wait!) :) I have SIJD, a lot of musculoskeletal issues, and I think PN so I hope Loretta can help me.
