Drowning in pain?
Re: Drowning in pain?
Thanks all for your feedback.
PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Honestly, to depict a human being in pain AND drowning? How much more macabre can we get? Please don't forget that this website is for current members as well as those that we are purportedly trying to "attract" with macabre eye-catching images. To have to face a picture of a drowning person howling in pain every time I open this webpage would really be too much for me.calluna wrote: Could be improved upon by making the little man look more as if he is in pain as well as drowning, I think! Even better would be an actual image of someone in trouble in the water, rather than a stick man.
I think we should stay with the 'Drowning in Pain'.
Athlete until pain started in 2001. Diagnosed with PN in Nov. 2010. Probable cause: 3 difficult labors, 5 pelvic surgeries for endometriosis, and undiagnosed hip injuries. 60% better after 3 rounds of shockwave therapy in Cornwall, Ontario (Dec - Feb/12). 99% better after bilateral hip scopes for FAI and labral tears (April and July/12). Yes, the stickman is tacky. The wave and Life Preserver is great!HerMajesty wrote:maybe the wave and the motto with life preserver instead of stick man? He looks kind of cheesy to me.
Ultra Sound in 03/08 showed severely retroverted, detaching uterus with mulitple fibroids and ovarian cysts.
Pressure and pain in lower abdomen and groin area was unspeakable and devastating.

EMG testing in NH in 04/10 - bilateral PN and Ilioinguals
3T MRI at HSS, NY in 09/10
Bilateral TG surgery with Dr. Conway on 03/29/11. Bilat ilioinguinal & iliohypogastric neurectomy 03/12. TCD surgery 04/14.

Re: Drowning in pain?
Sorry Violet, I love the drowning in pain, and HOPE life saving ring especially. What about an arm reaching out of the water, then it could be more unisex too ? ?
Take care,

I am sorry Lernica, I didn't mean to cause any upset. And I certainly didn't intend anything macabre. I just meant that he looks almost cheerful, he doesn't look unhappy, nor does he look as if he were drowning. I am really sorry. It was just a suggestion, and I didn't phrase it very well.
Now that's a good idea.helenlegs 11 wrote:Sorry Violet, I love the drowning in pain, and HOPE life saving ring especially. What about an arm reaching out of the water, then it could be more unisex too ? ?

Calluna, absolutely no need to apologize! But thanks anyway!

You know, if the drowning picture makes even one person upset I think it has to go. I'm sure we can come up with something everyone is happy with. We will just have to keep working on it.

Love the new picture on the home page. Nice quote from Christopher Reeve, too. Thanks, Mods!
