Naproxen or Ibuprofen does nothing for me. I agree with Jeanie about being careful with the Tylenol. I pretty much only take Neurontin. I take 2400mg and really I don't have any side effects with it (except I think I am developing memory issues). It helps my pain to a degree, but it didn't start helping until I got up to the 1500-1800 mark. I feel like I have kind of plateued on it now, but I tried going up higher and it didn't help my pain any more just made me dizzy and droggy. I agree going up on Neurontin seems like the wisest thing for you right now till you see your pain management doc. I occasional take Ultracet (37.5mg Tramadol/325 Acetaminopen), but it gives me a headache and makes me pretty dizzy (even at such a small dose) so I don't take it very much. More often I take ativan 0.5mg. It helps me be able to sit a little longer (on a cushion) if I absolutely have to. It makes me a little dizzy, but not too bad. I hope you are able to find something that helps.
