Karen surgery
Karen I'm sure you are home now. You have been in my thoughts and prayers. I leave next Monday for Orlando to start my PT. What are you able to do in just the 2 weeks following surgery? Do you have to just lay in bed. How is your pain level? Was Dr. Conway optimistic about your long term results? When you are up to it please keep us informed as to your weekly progress. Wishing you the best. Judy
Symptoms came on so slowly they were hard to explain to anyone much less myself. Discomfort sitting one day and not the next. Foreign object feeling in various private parts. Doctor to doctor. Mis- diagnosed many times. Un-needed surgery, depression pills and finally a diagnosis of PN. EMG testing in NH. Unsuccessful nerve blocks. Will start PT in a few weeks. Finally I don't think I'm crazy!!!
Re: Karen surgery
Hi Judy!
Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts. Yes, the surgery went very well and I'm recovering a little bit more every day. I've posted my progress and Op Report in other threads.
I'm only 2 weeks out of surgery, so long term results aren't known at this time. I am still very restricted, but again ... it's only been 2 weeks.
Nerve pain levels have decreased dramatically preceeding the surgery and I understand I still have a long way to go.
I wish you the best with PT and hope you let me know how it goes for you!
Warm regards,
Karyn
