Hello, wondering if anyone out there has had clitoral pain. I have other areas of pain as well but the clitoral pain is my worst. Wondering what has helped members deal with it and treat it. Having a difficult time with this. I have been suffering for 11 years now. I have tried PT and PN nerve blocks with little to no help. My next option is surgery. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Suffering for 11 years after running marathons and weight lifting. Diagnosed with PN by Dr. Antolak in 2006 and Dr. Weiss in 2010. Taking Cymbalta, Gabapentin and Baclofin. Just made an appointment to see Dr. Hibner for MRI and consultation for surgery, can't get me in until Dec.

Re: Clitoral pain
I have bouts with clitoral pain as well. Unfortunately, I haven't found anything that has helped alot, but I do take neurontin, imiprimene and tramadol that seems to take the edge off. Who have you seen for treatment? I found out via MRI by Dr. Potter that the dorsal nerve to the clitoris is encased in scar tissue. I am not sure, but thinking that may be why I have this problem.
Hoping you find relief quickly,
Grace

Re: Clitoral pain
Steph, clitoral pain is very common with PN because the dorsal nerve that goes to the clitoris is a branch of the PN. You could try using extra strength vagisil cream or ice as a temporary measure. Or you can read through the medication section of the forum for ideas on oral medications.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.
