Those of you who use a Roho cushion:
Which one do you use?
Did it help prior to surgery or only after?
Do you have a planar solid seat insert? (I am trialing one right now, but it doesn't have this, the Roho rep said I could get one didn't know if it helped)

Re: Roho cushion
Mine is a roho contour select and it does not have a planar solid seat insert. I didn't have one before surgery so I don't know if it would have helped pre-op.
I just got my new one today -- it is smaller than my old one making it easier to carry around and it fits into chairs better. The 16 X 16 was just too bulky.

PNE since 2002. Started from weightlifting. PNE surgery from Dr. Bautrant, Oct 2004. Pain now is usually a 0 and I can sit for hours on certain chairs. No longer take medication for PNE. Can work full time and do "The Firm" exercise program. 99% cured from PGAD. PNE surgery was right for me but it might not be for you. Do your research.

Re: Roho cushion
Hi Grace,
I found a customer support number from http://www.therohogroup.com It was 1-800-851-3449. I asked them for representatives in my area. Then I called my insurance to find out if they were in network. Then I called the reps directly. They were really nice and they are letting me borrow a roho cushion for a week to trial it. I am going to get a letter of medical necessity from my PT and then get my Dr. to sign it (that's what the rep reccommended since I am not a wheelchair patient) and hopefully there won't be any problems. My insurance pays 80% which is great since these cushions are VERY pricey!
