Re: Update
Tell me about it, my family seems to think it's all some sort of joke and I'm exaggerating, my mother literally said, what's the big deal everyone has pain, I have pain in my arm, she's 72 and I'm 48 and I can barely do my hobbies anymore , go figure. My girlfriend also literally told me she is tire...

Re: Update
The basic stuff, they tried dry needling, stretches and core strengthening exercises (I don't do this as I should've I admit because it's painful), but without or very temporary results. My PT now referred me to a pain coach because she suspects some sensitization and a psychological factor after on...

Re: Update
Piriformis involvement has already been confirmed by several PT's. One PT was quite baffled that it keeps going in cramp after pretty mundane activity. The thing that bothers me is kind of the chicken and egg , is it the piriformis causing some pudendal symptoms or the other way around? No one seems...

Re: Update
I already went to a neurologist a year ago after they took the scans and he did an EMG test of the sciatic nerve and back and results where fine, so he concluded it was not from my back. Bollens said pseudo sciatica is pretty common with PN though because the piriformis muscle gets tight and compres...

Re: Update
Laparoscopic surgery with Dr. Bollens is planned on the 17th of April. But to be honest, i'm still not sure if this will actually fix the problem. I have maybe five different diagnosis ranging from a lower back issue (MRI showed disc bulging and spinal stenosis) but according to the doctors this is ...

Re: Update
Thanks for the reply Violet, Yes doctor Bollens was very kind and took his time answering my questions including the risks, but they are very low in his experienced opinion but off course it's still surgery and never completely risk free. Off course the risk of not doing anything is very real as wel...

Re: Officially diagnosed with PNE
Barre, Many years ago when I had blocks my doctor said to wait 6 weeks after a block for the MRI because it had the potential to cause nerve inflammation. If you have both PN and sciatica, I think it’s good to rule in or out an issue at the S2 nerve root specifically since that nerve root is a plac...

Re: Officially diagnosed with PNE
How did you develop PN? It's all pretty silly and embarassing, but than again this whole condition is silly and embarassing. Got it from anal intercourse/prostate massage, month later my symptoms started but I always had a history of chronic prostatitis , just unlucky, one chance in a million, if o...
