Re: Dr Dellon
Did Dr Dellon perform any specific examinations or sensory tests prior to surgery that, in his mind, would give him an indication that there was a problem with your dorsal nerve? He just tested the area (externally) with his fingers & when I winced at the spot where the dorsal branch runs (coup...
Re: Dr Dellon
Please consider also that they have to cut through some small muscles like the ischiocavernosus to get through to the dorsal nerve. It is delicate and it is not risk free. I am more concerned about what they had to cut to get to the dorsal nerve. Couldn't agree w. these 2 statements more. I'm much ...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma
At the beginning, the pain was always brought on by sitting on a bike seat, in particular, when I subconsciously slid my pelvis towards the nose of the seat putting all that pressure into the perineum, rather than the sit bones. It is pretty clear cut in my opinion. I felt the same way about my cas...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma
Not sure how my problems could be as simple as tight muscles though. It's a chicken & egg thing though...yes, a compromised nerve can cause muscle spasms. But conversely, a contracted muscle can potentially impinge on a nerve (thus causing nerve pain, w.out the nerve actually being the fundamen...

Re: Surgery/treatment dilemma
Interesting post PN_down_under (but sorry to hear you're not doing so well). I've never seen a detailed breakdown like that of which nerve branches innervate which specific areas of the penis. Based on that illustration, I would say my main prob. (assuming it is a neuropathic issue) is actually the ...

Re: Pelvic floor myalgia
do we need to add these PT's to our PT list? Definitely Violet (they're really the only people in the greater Toronto area who are PNE aware/doing internal trigger point work...that I'm aware of anyway). Their info was actually up back on pudendal.info (I checked in w. them & got their OKs for ...

Re: Pelvic floor myalgia
Yeah, I saw Nelly for a long stretch before I started going to Carolyn actually (only switched 'cuz Nelly had to take time off to go have surgery herself). She's also very good...if tight pelvic floor muscles are your remaining issue, I'd say your in good hands w. her. Good luck & say hi to her ...

Re: Pelvic floor myalgia
Hey Lernica, did you ever go out to see Carolyn (pelvic floor PT) in Cambridge?
Re: Dr Dellon
I'm pulling for you too, P.S. You don't even have to tell me that Violet, I already know! You've been pulling for me ever since I first showed up on pudendal.info years ago & you took the time to answer every single newbie question I had (& there were a lot of them!). Just like you do for e...
