Re: Best cushion for travel?
Thank you both for the info! I've never seen the Twin Cheeks cushion style and it looks interesting. I think the ComfiLife is one I recently tried out and returned as it was too firm, but will have to look up the purchase. Years ago I was traveling for surgery 2 days later with Dr. Hibner and TSA ha...

Best cushion for travel?
Can anyone recommend a good, thick, coccyx pain type cushion that’s easy to travel with? I'll attach a carrying strap if it doesn't have one. We’ll spend 4 weeks this summer in Europe with our kids & grandkids. I’ll be limited to one cushion for all purposes, instead of the variety in my car and...

Netflix medical device documentary
Watched The Bleeding Edge documentary on Netflix 2 months ago (it's still available). Then I read the book (at our library) which provides more detail: The danger within us: America's untested, unregulated medical device industry and one man's battle to survive it. by Lenzer, Jeanne, author. I learn...

Cigna Health Spring & compounded med coverage
I'm a new Cigna Health Spring subscriber this year. Thought I'd try to see if they'd give a little financial help for my 2 compounds (Valium/Baclofen suppositories, and LidocaineBupivicaine ointment). My doctor submitted the requests for coverage determination. I've already spent 2 hours on the phon...

Re: Suppository & topical ointment options
Stephanie, Sorry, I did't see this in December as we were on the road for a Christmas trip. Working on household repairs (and dealing with pain) since our return. I'd love to know more about Nifedipine for rectal pain. I'm currently doing battle wit my new insurance for compounded Baclofen/Valium su...

Re: Dr. Annu Navani San Jose CA - any pelvic pain skills?
I can keep them; it will cost more with no co-insurance. All the pain practices in our 3 local counties focus on spine and non-pelvic.

Re: Suppository & topical ointment options
Even if something didn't work well, I (and my GYN) are interested to know what doctors are prescribing (now and in the past) since there are so many options for compounds. I should have contacted Violet first to see if there's a better way to go about this. Burning for a few mnutes from topicals see...

Suppository & topical ointment options
I'm hoping to compile a good list of compounded suppository and topical ointment ingredients, rather than have patients need to search many pages and threads. I've used my current meds for years, and don't recall specifics of things I tried long ago. I'd also like to pass it on to my Gyn, who does s...

Dr. Annu Navani San Jose CA - any pelvic pain skills?
Many of us are having to suddenly change insurance plans after years with the same carrier. Finding new pain management is always a challenge because there are so few decent practices (in my area), and one with pelvic pain skills near-impossible. My current practice isn't covered by the new carrier,...

Re: Pelvic PTs in Boulder (CO), Albuqerque, or in between?
Dear althoff, Thank you! So far I'm doing OK on the road trip, now in NM. We plan to make the run to Boulder every few months, so it's good to know there are great PTs in the area. Next time I'll just schedule in advance to be proactive and hopefully prevent a flare. Wish I had multiple nearby cente...
