Level of pain and time of day
For the last few months, the correlation between my level and pain and time of day has been opposite of what is typically seen in people with PN. I wake up in the morning with noticeable pelvic discomfort which goes away when I get up and move around. If I try to sit on my cushion or stand for a lon...

Re: Young male with terrible sexual/urinary issues. PNE?
I had PGAD really bad last year and effexor almost completely took it away. I still get it every now and then (mainly triggered by arousal or by things that cause increase in PN pain) but it only stays for a couple minutes.

Could benzodiazepines help me?
I believe my PN is caused by violent spasms and contractions of my pelvic muscles during orgasm since that is what caused my first flare up and since has pretty much been the only cause of flare ups I've had. I don't experience any genital pain with orgasm however, so I was wondering if it were poss...

Re: Advice before evaluation by pelvic floor specialist
Sorry for double posting, but what is the recommendation on frequency if I do decide to go through with PT? I'll probably only be able to afford once a month. Is that too infrequent?

Re: Advice before evaluation by pelvic floor specialist
I just made an appointment for the 12th. I asked for someone who was educated and experienced with pudendal neuralgia and the receptionist said they all were, which kind of makes me nervous but I guess we'll see.

Re: Advice before evaluation by pelvic floor specialist
Thank you Joe. I will PM if you have I have any questions about your personal experiences. One of the reasons that I've been so hesitant about going is that I have some irregular symptoms that I haven't seen discussed on the forum and in addition to the fact that I haven't come across anyone for who...

Advice before evaluation by pelvic floor specialist
Soon I am going to make an appointment with this place to get an evaluation. http://www.pelvicfloorandcore.com/ They have a page with a lot of information on pudendal neuralgia and they claim to have successfully treated PN and even list the causes of PN for which there have been successful treatmen...

Re: Exercise
That's interesting, thank you for sharing that. I never did any prolonged stretches and I'll be sure not to try them unless my PT thinks it's a good idea.

Re: Exercise
I don't think I have entrapment because stretching that area actually relieves pain instead of causing it for me, but I do think I have a really tight pelvic floor, it always feels swollen (seeing a pelvic floor specialist soon to get it figured out). Are all abdominal exercises off limits for me? A...
