Re: Clitoral pain flare up and injury
Hi, I like your username because it gives a positive sense of hope. I am sorry to hear you are going through this and that things have gotten significantly worse. It would be easy for me to say that you shouldn't blame yourself, that you are just a person who wants to be able to experience a normal ...

I'm sad to hear that your pain has gotten bad again. I have read that gabapentin can lose its effectiveness over time, but I haven't seen any scientific studies confirming that. Your pharmacist might be able to answer that question. You could try some other medication such as pregabalin (lyrica), du...

Re: New to Florida - Recommendations?
You could check the PT listings for Florida and one of them might be able to direct you to a doctor. Maybe Tracy Sher on this list would know someone.

Re: Has ANYONE had success from Botox injections?
My doctor told me not to do them because they only give temporary relief so I didn't try them.

Re: How were you able to fly home after TransGluteal surgery?
It's sad that insurance won't cover it. I didn't have the TG surgery, but I was in a ton of pain after the TIR surgery in France. I didn't have 3 seats purchased but there was 1 extra seat on the plane and some kind passengers moved so my husband and I could have that extra seat so I could lie down....

Hi Sonya, This illness can be very isolating. I hope some ladies (or men) from the UK will be able to give you some more information than I can about where to go for help in the UK. There are people here who understand, so you are not completely alone. I know it's hard while you are waiting for trea...

Re: Post-op PNE
Hi Brian, Wow, your kids are so little. You are very busy parents and I'm sure you want to be picking them up a lot which would be very difficult right now! Your insurance should cover a TENS unit if it's ordered by a healthcare provider. I think it would be primarily for pain, or if your muscles ar...

Hi Brian, Yes, I agree with Dr. Conway that early on you need to rest and let the nerve heal. That's what I did. I didn't even start walking until 5 months post-op and then I just started out at 5 minutes a day. I also did some hyperbaric oxygen treatments post-op. There is some literature that indi...

Re: Post-op PNE
Hello Brian, Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry to hear you are going through this difficult journey. Based on my own experience and what I have read of other people's experiences on this forum, you are very early in your recovery, so it is way too soon to draw any conclusions about the results of your...
