Re: Obturator Internus
Dakotagirl Thanks for the inspiring words. I am trying not to worry so much about pn, but it can get hard when you dont know what you have for sure. I really miss the way I used to feel. :( But you're right, I'll be ok. And so will you. Do you have pain with sitting? I dont have much pain with sitti...

Symptoms come and go
Do pudendal nerve issues come and go? I'm so confused. I have been going to a physical therapist and I was starting to feel better. Over the weekend of 4th of July, I was going to the bathroom pretty normal... More normal than I have in a while. Now all of the sudden I am having weird urine retentio...

Re: Rectum issues
PFD is pelvic floor dysfunction. Where the pelvic floor muscles are either too tight or too loose. In my case, my obturtator internus muscle is tight. I believe that is the cause of all my issues. My question was would it be on and off like that? One week i'll have normal sized bowel movements and t...

Re: Rectum issues
Ray, My issues are on and off. Just last week I was feeling better and had nice solid bowel movements... Now this week they are soft and small, some of thinner side. Idk if this is caused by PFD or if I have PN. I feel like most of my issues are just PFD. If I had pn would it be on and off like that...

Re: Obturator Internus
My PT doesn't think I have PN. She is experienced in pelvic floor disorders, I just don't know how much experience she actually has with PN. When I talk to her tho, she does seem to know things about it and says she has had patients who had it. She told me last time while she was massaging the OI vi...

Re: Obturator Internus
When I walk and do my stretches, my urine symptoms tend to get better. I just don't know why it's not releasing entirely. Does it just take some time sometimes??

Re: Obturator Internus
Is it possible to just have issues with my obturator internus being too tight and causing my bladder issues without having the nerve impinged? I have done a little research and it sounds like there have been plenty of people with PFD with tight OI muscles but didn't have PN.

Re: Obturator Internus
I'm not sure how she got to it dry needling, but I do know she got to a muscle that was causing me pain. To dry needle the OI she had me lay on the side of my pain, with that leg stretched straight out. She went through the bottom that way. She also went in through the front and dry needled. I'm not...
