Re: Activities To Avoid

I didn't see this on the list, but riding in a vehicle for any period of time really exacerbates my pain. I can't ride in my wife's car at all because it vibrates so much worse than the truck (these are vibrations I never noticed or felt prior to having PN/PNE). If I have to ride for an extended per...

Re: PN/PNE following Vasectomy

As of right now, a surgical solution does not exist. As I said, no doctor is going to touch an entrapped nerve in that location. As for trying to work it out by hand, yes, I have tried it. Understand, though, that this is EXTREMELY painful and just a few seconds of hard pinching, rubbing, or "m...

Re: PN/PNE following Vasectomy

Choohooo, unfortunately I have found no relief for this issue. My life has completely changed, and I am very frustrated. I have sharp pain in the incision area (base of penis), burning pain along the pudendal canal & extreme pain at the tailbone/coccyx area. My theory is that there are others li...

The thought was the enlarged vein was pressing on the nerve. However, I know other individuals who underwent this same treatment and it di...

Re: PN/PNE following Vasectomy

The diagnosis was based on the results of the MRN-guided pudendal nerve block injection, of course in combination with my other symptoms. The scrotal ultrasound confirmed scar tissue at the spot of the greatest source of pain.

Re: PN/PNE following Vasectomy

I probably should have mentioned that I have tried a host of medications including Lyrica, amitriptyline, gabapentin, etc. None of them seemed to phase the pain. I take hydrocodone currently to take the edge off, but will go a day or two each week without to sort of "reset". I also use ice...

PN/PNE following Vasectomy

Introduction & Diagnosis Hello, my name is Spencer. I am 39 years old, and have recently been diagnosed with PN/PNE. I had a vasectomy procedure in October of 2013 & had immediate issues at the incision site. For several months, I was getting bad advice from local doctors saying "ah, y...
