Re: Possible or likely consult with a PN surgeon
I agree with you. ....... I guess one of the limitations is they can't release info about patients due to HIPPA but it seems like they could give you a general idea of what to expect, especially when you are coming from out-of-state. Violet You would understand this Violet. Thanks again for the sup...

Re: Possible or likely consult with a PN surgeon
...... I haven't seen Dr. Elkwood as a patient but I did speak with him for a phone interview for our website. He was not in a rush, he was thorough in answering all of my questions, and pleasant. I found him to be very knowledgeable but not arrogant. I have not spoken with any of his patients so I...

Possible or likely consult with a PN surgeon
After > 6 years of 3 different pelvic physical pain troubles (PN; a shot, high hamstring muscle tendon has awful untreatable tendinosis; and an ilioinguinal nerve with neuritis in one groin) and after standing for years now, I'm thinking of seeing Andrew Elkwood, MD in NJ. I'm currently suffering ph...

Cryoablation in the US, for the pudendal nerve
Does anyone know if there's more than 1 US MD who's doing cryoablation for the pudendal nerve? I know about JD Prologo, MD of Emory U. in Atlanta, GA but wonder if any other MD is doing cryoablation for the pudendal nerve. If you know of anyone else, please submit a posting with that MD's name and l...

Re: Any neurosurgeons for this trapped nerve in groin
HI Stephanies, The nerve pain relief was basically immediate after the cryoablation procedure. I remember a bit of soreness/stiffness in the hip area afterwards, but I think that was more related to the procedure, positioning, probe being inserted, etc. Anita Hi Anita, Can you tell me the name of t...

Re: Any neurosurgeons for this trapped nerve in groin
Hi Hank, what part of the country are you in, and are you willing to travel? I had cryoablation (freezing) of the ilioinguinal nerve done several years ago at a pain clinic in Minnesota. Hello acw, I'm in Wisconsin, in Madison. Today I met for the 3rd time with the neurosurgeon in the Madison VA. T...

Re: Any neurosurgeons for this trapped nerve in groin
Hank, You may try searching in this forum in the right top box for ilioinguinal to see if anyone has a post with some doctor or lead. Janet Thanks Janet. Yes, I did a search here and found out about Jason Attaman, DO, of Seattle. He may treat this and he does do PRF (pulsed radiofrequency) which I ...

Re: Any neurosurgeons for this trapped nerve in groin
Hank, have you been evaluated by a physical therapist yet -- someone who can assess the pelvic floor and other pelvic structures? Just something to consider. The PT I saw seemed to know more about this than the orthopedic surgeon I saw before I had a proper diagnosis. Violet Violet, yes I've been c...
