Helen,
Well done you. I wondered why Mr Wong's details weren't on the doctor's list. Yes they are stars. Can't wait to hear from Calluna, I wonder if she is home yet.
Does Dr Jenner (?) do PN blocks too? But again, this is London.

Re: Manchester, UK
That is great to hear of PN doctors in the North of England. Helen, do you know if they offer surgery at all? There certainly seems to be more doctors than we are aware of. How can be get a list of them all?

Re: Anatomy
This is really interesting, I have been wondering myself how long Alcock's canal actually is. This is all such a tiny area in reality.

Re: Anyone want to guess?
Some surgeons are removing some nerve supply to the OI muscle so it will atrophy and make more space in alcock's canal.

Re: Ischial Tuberosity pain
Helen - You're confused? I'm confused. To be honest the more I read the more confusing it gets. There does seem to be some varying opinion about these things.

Re: Ischial Tuberosity pain
Helen - I am glad I made you laugh! Mine is near the ischial tuberosity, sounds like it is alcock's canal related. Just read somewhere that the alcock's canal is only 2.5 cm from the ischial tuberosity. What symptoms come from the piriformis muscle? So it sounds like Mr Webb wasn't prepared to opera...

Re: Ischial Tuberosity pain
Thanks for all the replies. Helen - Was that mentioned then on the radio interview with Dr Hibner? I haven't listened to that yet. That would make sense since I was trapped in Alcock's canal. I only get ischeal tuberosity pain with sitting, it disappears as soon as I stand. I too could draw the path...

Re: Ischial Tuberosity pain
Thanks nyt. I'm still a bit confused though as to the path of the pudendal nerve in relation to the ischial tuberosity. I know that if a nerve is compressed/entrapped then you feel pain from the point of compression down to the end of the nerve. So if you are trapped in the ligaments/alcock's canal ...

Ischial Tuberosity pain
I am curious to know why having buttock pain on sitting is one of the associated signs of PNE. Is it to do with the pudendal nerve or is it a secondary muscular pain problem?
Anyone know?
