If you're like me you have come to scoff at the BS pain scales doctors use. I finally found one that is more accurate.
The blog post associated with this scale is hilarious.

Re: Dr Conway
Hang in there Joe. Hold on to your wanting to know what's happening. I also recommend the mindfulness meditation for pain audio series by Jon Kabat Zinn. It has helped me a LOT.

Re: Pain Meds
I took high dose OxyContin and then morphine for years. I have tried to wean off it but when I get down to a low enough dose the withdrawal becomes unmanageable. Low dose is one thing. High dose 24/7 is something else.
Don't do it.
Don't do it.

If at all possible, avoid taking opioids long term. You will regret it. I do. It's a deal with the devil.

Floatation Tank
Has anyone with pn ever floated in a flotation tank? If your issues are muscular, and many people's are, you can potentially eliminate your pain by floating in a flotation tank. Re: Decreased feeling in legs, hard time walking......
Hi Joe. I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with such a big load on you. I can relate. I have really bad shin splints in my left leg and I can't put much weight on it. It's causing me all kinds of problems because I can't move around and because I can't sit, I am forced to lie down a lot. I'm getting w...

Anyone with PN in the Orlando area?
Is there anyone on the forum who's local to the Orlando area? It would be great to talk to someone in my neck of the woods.

Anyone who was approved for social security disability?
Is there anyone here who got their application for social security disability approved and who would be willing to talk to me and my wife about it? I would be very grateful.
