Re: swimming or water walking as excercise

My PT suggested that I should try and get into a warm pool as much as possible to just walk around, float but no swimming. While my hubby and I were in Florida this winter I got into the pool as often as I could to just walk around. It felt great. I wish I could live in a water bubble!!! Against he ...

Re: Dr. Gordon - thoughts/opinions?

Thank you. I'm happy to hear. I'm hoping there's something he can do to help me. Nerve blocks, Lidocane IV infusion, pain meds (with exception to the ones I'm still on) have all failed. Keeping my fingers crossed that someone will eventually try something on me that will give me some sort of relief.

Re: Anti-Inflammatory Diet (Gluten Free Diet)

I think I may try it. At least for a month and see if there is any difference. I guess worse case scenario would be that it doesn't help, it is at least a healthy change.

Re: Walking aids

Thanks Jen. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this. Last week I finally gave in and started walking with a cane. So far it is helping me greatly. I know that if I don't find any relief or improvement I will eventually be getting a walker - I'm just not there yet. I know I'm stubborn and am h...

Dr. Gordon - thoughts/opinions?

I'm looking to get people's opinions/experience with Dr. Gordon from Mount Sinai's Pain Clinic in Toronto (Canada). My doctor's office called me to let me know they got me an appointment for July. I'm just curious to know what to expect and how he is with patients.

Anti-Inflammatory Diet (Gluten Free Diet)

I was at my PT appointment yesterday and my PT suggested that I look into and consider changing my diet to an Anti-Inflammatory Diet (aka Gluten Free Diet). I am just starting to do my own research on gluten free diets helping with chronic pain. Has anyone here switched to a gluten free diet? Has it...

Re: Walking aids

Thank you for sharing what you use or have used. I've been suffering on and off since January 2011 and continuously since March 2012. I don't go shopping all that often as it doesn't take long for the pain to start flaring. Luckily whenever it has hit me very bad I've had a cart that would allow me ...

Walking aids

I'm wondering if anyone uses any type of walking aids - ie canes, walkers etc. If yes, does it help with the pain when walking? I know when I go do groceries and I use the cart as a walking aid it seems to be a bit easier so I was wondering if anyone else has tried walking aids and what they prefer.

Blog - Chronic Pelvic Pain

I have been reading this website and its forums for months but this is my first post. My doctors believe that I may have PNE as well as possibly having ilioinguinal nerve entrapment. I appreciate all the posts in all the forums on this site as it allowed me to see that there are others who suffer th...
