Re: Experiences action taken by European doctors - advice on
Hello Monica, I had surgery with Dr. Aszmann. I was very happy with him. He is a skilled surgeon and a very nice man. You can also see my story from my past posts. I haven't posted in awhile, but that is good news. Good luck and I hope you can find relief from your pain. It is a long, painful journe...

Re: Surgery Success Rate
I have to agree with Blossum, my surgery has given me a chance for a better life. I have gone weeks without pudendal nerve pain, unlike before surgery. I do still have the irritation of the PFCN, but it is getting better. When I do too much, I still get flares, but they are not as bad and don't last...

Re: Questions on post-op journey
Thanks Violet and Blossum, I actually feel great today. I had to go to a board meeting this morning and I sat with no cushion and I was fine. It gives me a lot of encouragement, because the last time I went to this meeting, which was about 3 months ago, I sat on my cushion and was still uncomfortabl...

Re: Questions on post-op journey
I'm back with a question for the group. I am continuing my post-op recovery and of course, I always get online when I am in a flare and need support and advice. I can not determine what I have been doing that is causing more flares lately. This last one was caused, I think, by doing a stretch of my ...

Re: Has anyone had high hamstring pain along with PN symptom
Hi Dakota Girl, I also had similar symptoms as you. My came almost immediately following pelvic surgery where the doctor used mesh and attached it to my sacrum (without telling me). I have spondylolisthesis at L-5, S-1.... So I would have NEVER agreed to surgery that would impact that area. Long sto...

Re: Pudendal Nerve Entrapment...
Hi Andy, I am so sorry you have gone through so much in the last three years. This condition is very difficult, but there is help and it can get better with the right treatment. As everyone has said, the conservative route is best to start with......which I know is hard when you are in so much pain....

Re: success decompression surgery
Thanks Violet......keeping my fingers crossed that this good feeling will continue. I am still proceeding cautiously, but I am much more active, which is such a good feeling. I am still struggling with the SI joint on the opposite side from my surgery, but that pain is not as bad as PN pain. :) Can'...

Re: success decompression surgery
Hi Robert, As Rena said, Prof. Aszmann does not sever the ligaments. He did notch my sacrotuberous ligament to give the nerve room to glide. I was walking the next day also. I only spent 1 night in the hospital and I was able to do some site seeing while I was in Vienna. I would advise taking it slo...

Re: success decompression surgery
Hi Rena, So sorry you are having such a hard time. I also had surgery with Prof. Dr. Aszmann a year ago. I am doing very well now, but it has been a long road of good days and bad. I have had more and more days of very little or no pudendal nerve pain now. The pain I still have is the posterior femo...

Re: Questions on post-op journey
Hi Violet, Thanks. I have been using the TENS some, but when I put it on the gluteal fold and the back of my leg, I can't feel it. I have it turned up, but the feeling on the skin is not back yet. It is very hard to explain. I guess if the PFCN innervates the skin, that's why I can't feel anything. ...
