Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Violet, Thank you so much. I will most definitely be taking my recovering seriously - most of the stories I've heard of ppl having "failed" surgeries for this also report not taking it easy or following PT protocol. I will post back again after a while - and hopefully have something good t...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Hello ladies Don't know if anyone remembers me, but I've returned to add to this thread. My PN type pain started in May 2012. I saw many specialists. I ended in up pelvic floor PT. Thru that, I discovered hip problems on top of pn-type problems. I was Diagnosed with FAI and hip labral tear a few yea...

Re: HERNIA SYMPTOMS
Honestly, I think she's legally very wary of advising me to get anything more "done" or "diagnosed." We both thought getting my hip checked out was a logical step, since no amount of PT or stretching would increased my limited ROM or pain in the joint. I went ahead with a hip MRA...

HERNIA SYMPTOMS
Hey all For those of you with genitofemoral or ilioinguinal hernias, what are your PN type symptoms? Are they constant or do they come and go? Need more insight before investigating this for myself. My PT found tiny lumpy thing in inguinal area and when she runs over that general area she is able to...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Thank you Griff552 My OS isn't the greatest, no. I have to wait until feb. to see her about possible joint infection. She hasn't a clue it seems. I just popped a Prozac . I am at a loss with all this today. My PT suspects hernias, either an inguinal of genitofemoral. When I mentioned this possibilit...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Well, Went back to OS for review of hip MRA and also for subsequent complications relating to the MRA. She said she could not definitively determine whether or not it was a tear, but that there is absolutely an "abnormal" area in the joint, where the contrast fluid appeared to "leak.&...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
I don't go and see the OS until the end of January, and frankly I'm not sure I'll even return to her practice. Her office/PA won't call me back regarding my additional and worsening pain since the MRA. I'd at least appreciate a phone call... It's been 7 days and the stiffness and pain is worse than ...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p
Well kind folks, got the interpretation from my local radiologist regarding the hip MRA. There is a defect along the base of the anterosuperior labrum through which contrast extends towards the perilabral sulcus. The remaining labrum and capsular ligamentous structure appear intact. [/b] ...I have a...
