Re: piriformis and pudendal problems
I went to chiro a week ago and said I was very worried about the possible PN thing - he said not to as lots of other things could have caused the nerve to trigger slightly. I have a torn adductor muscle and groin strain which is impinging on the ischial tuberosity on that side. He did some trigger p...

Re: SIJD & Pudendal Neuralgia - Next Step?
Hi Helen :) I couldn't find Ruth Lovegrove Jones anywhere on the internet except on Linkdin, the practice she is at in Southampton is not listed. However, in my search I found one a tad closer to home (although still an hour's drive) : to quote.... has specialist training in physical therapy for chr...

Re: SIJD & Pudendal Neuralgia - Next Step?
Hi All I too have SJI on left side which chiro has been treating for about 6 years. Only in the last 12-18 months have I experienced some PN symptoms (3 minor ones lasting about 1 - 2 days at most). They have always followed the same pattern, painful S3 cramped piriformis then gential hypersensitivi...

Re: Getting a diagnosis
Hi both - have been surfing SJ disfunction and know that is where my problem started all those years ago. SJD can produce referred pain and cause spasm in piriformis buttock and psoas, groin and front of thigh. Difficulty turning over in bed (oh yes!!) and putting on shoes and socks (done a bit cock...

Re: Getting a diagnosis
Well.... I've just been looking at the SIJ !!! Another thing to add to the list because I have just realised (really should ask more questions of my chiro!) that it's the SIJ he has been treating all these years - that it where I have the old twisting/bending injury. Hence unstable hip joint. Will c...

Re: Getting a diagnosis
Hi Calluna Glad to hear your are having positive results with Dr G. The problem I have with the Dr's is actually getting an appointment, let alone persuading them that I know what the problem is. At the moment I can just about afford to see Dr G privately with the hope of then going onto the NHS lis...

Re: piriformis and pudendal problems
How frustrating!!! Fingers crossed all gets sorted for you xxx - just found out I can do a supline left lift to 90 degrees this morning - maybe the rolled up tennis socks in the periformis did do something??? It gets stranger by the minute. Am definitely going to cross-examine my chiro on Fri...
