Re: A sad day. Brave PGAD sufferer ends her life.

It's really heartbreaking stuff. I have told those close to me that I have PGAD symptoms and they are so understanding. But it's some members of the wider community who make opening up about it really hard. A few women have talked to the media in a bid to spread awareness (i.e. it's more common than...

A sad day. Brave PGAD sufferer ends her life.

http://www.tampabay.com/news/health/medicine/article1264559.ece Gretchen Molannen recently participated in a story about PGAD with Tampa Bay Times. It was the first truly compassionate story about PGAD I have read and I, along with many others, was very proud of Gretchen for telling her story. Unfor...

Re: No internal trigger points

I must respond to this post as I initially had very clear trigger points internally at "5 o'clock and 7 o'clock" when I was first examined by the PT and Dr. Vancaillie. I went back to the PT after not sitting for months and taking Endep and it appeared that those trigger points were not gi...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Sneetch, this sounds VERY promising! Keep up with whatever rehab you have to do otherwise just take it easy and let the healing do its job. I look forward to hearing more on your progress! Lernica - I had the pelvic MRI and the radiologist said another MRI would be helpful. But I have no hip symptom...

Re: Did labral tear surgery reduce your PN/pelvic/perineal p

Thank god I had access to my MRI report. My PN doctor mentioned nothing to me about the fact that there was "focal fissuring and possible paralabral cyst formation in the anterosuperior hip labrum on the right" which the radiologist recommended follow up MRI for. Apparently there is no evi...

Re: Hibner ST ligament new method

Haha too right Helen! I think it's called a Z but looks a bit more like this: http://www.rcsed.ac.uk/fellows/lvanrensburg/classification/approaches/elbow%20lateral.jpg I wonder if this method would change the pelvic stability but to a lesser extent i.e because the ligament would naturally become str...

Re: Hibner ST ligament new method

Haha woah... am I late to the party or what?!?!

I was going off an e-mail from him where it seemed like it had only been a recent development! Well, in case anyone else on the boards didn't know, here's some old info on a new thread!

Hibner ST ligament new method

Hi all, Apparently the fantastic Dr. Hibner is no longer using cadaver tissue to repair the ST ligament but instead cutting a "Z" incision into the ligament which keeps it intact but allows it to stretch out if indeed the ligaments are too tight. I have researched this method myself and it...
