Physiotherapists in Cheshire

Hi all; haven't been on here in months since my osteopath cured my PN (as long as I'm careful sitting). When I last Dr de Mello, he told me about two physiotherapists in Cheshire; both female, who were wonderful at treating PN. I'm certain they were both also listed on here but I've searched absolut...

Re: New and need help finding a specialist

I went to Dr de Mello in Manchester and got a diagnosis right away. Came home for a standard pre booked appt with a local gynae only to find that he knew quite a bit about PN (not as much as Dr de \Mello) and had a physiotherapist at our local hospital who knows how to relax the pelvic floor which i...

Re: cushion ideas

http://www.icnsales.com/chair-cushions The cushions described on here for prostate problems look exactly what I need for my scooter. They recommend trying out two different weights However they are in the USA so sending them back would be prohibitive. Does anyone know of anything like this in the UK?...

Re: Sacroiliac Joint and Maigne Syndrome

The gynaecologist has assured me that this woman knows how to relax the pelvic floor so I just hope she does but if she tries to get me to do anything to strengthen it I will most certainly tell her. My osteopath has offered to speak to her to make sure they are not undoing each other's work.

Re: PN Surgery at Bristol halted due to funding.

Re going to France for treatment; you MUST have the backing of your GP and I was told when I tried that you must have exhausted all possible treatments in this country before they will consider it. I tried to get my GP to back me for treatment for Maigne syndrome in 2005. Got a total refusal because...

Re: piriformis and pudendal problems

I periodically get dreadful pain in my priformis; woke up today with a sore SIJ and felt as if someone stuck a knife into my buttock. The osteopath I'm seeing released it completely last time i had it so am hoping he can do the same again tomorrow.

Re: Breast Pain due to Central Sensitization?

I have loads of breast cysts too and the pain is not like that but I did go through about 5 years of exactly what you describe. My doctor told me to take evening primrose and it really did work- oh and to try to avoid wearing a bra. He said it wasn't anything like central sensitisation but just some...

Re: Sacroiliac Joint and Maigne Syndrome

My only slight concern is that the gynae here has referred me to his physiotherapist for the PN pain. The osteopath has done so well with it, I really don't want the physio doing anything to undo what he's done. The appointment form stressed that she worked on people with urinary problems; ie leaks ...

Re: Wish me luck

I'm coming to the conclusion that I flare up after every treatment for about 3 or 4 days then it settles down and is just a bit better than the time before . I can put up with that if it is making an improvement.

Re: cushion ideas

Any suggestions what I can use on my scooter seat- must be available in the UK. For my wheelchair a home made U shape out of memory foam works ok but it's far too big for my scooter. I've bought coccyx cushions; 2 strengths; one too hard, one too soft, a foam pad cut to shape (too hard); a foam toil...
