Re: Male Pudendal Nerve Entrapment Diary...
I forgot to mention two things. It was a brief session of cycling in the gym (that was the variable in my visit) that seemed to trigger my problem. The other was cushions. I spent a lot of time and money on creating my own cushions with cut-outs to relieve pressure on the perineum. I often wondered ...

Re: Male Pudendal Nerve Entrapment Diary...
Dear Andy, Sorry to hear of your troubles. A lot sounds familiar, although I would say I had less complications. I would be happy to try to answer any questions you have, plus I have an update on my own experience/progress due. To be honest I prefer to keep dialogue on the open public forum, rather ...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio
Thank you Violet and Rosemary for your comments and wishes. I have to say that PT did not cause me a flare up at all, not directly anyway. I always felt better for the PT, and certainly gained in flexibility (bending etc). In the first months, as I felt so much the better after the PT, I probably ov...

Re: Need a PN aware Physio
I can only speak for my own, male, condition, but here goes: I started seeing Dr Ruth Jones last September. I was in a dreadful state having not been helped at all by the NHS, and basically left to go out of my mind on Pregabilin. I didn't say I expected to be cured, I just wanted help with how to c...

Re: update diary after pn surgery
Hi Andrea I've always been someone who eats and drinks everything, and I never suffered from constipation until I met co-codamol, pregabilin etc. I spent nearly a year fighting it with buckets of prunes, dried apricots etc. Then I gave in and tried lactulose. It did the trick, and so far it's been g...

Re: Getting treated under the NHS in the UK
Thanks Lex, for your thoughts and encouragement. I am encouraged to hear that you successfully got over the same hurdles that have been cast before me. I think I have my GP on-side, but I am still awaiting an answer. I hope you start to experience some improvement soon. Molly, I hope you get the med...

Re: Getting treated under the NHS in the UK
Hi Andrea Those costs do not seen too bad, relative to what I have heard private ops can cost. But as you say, you may have more bills to come. Keep me posted, although, as all know, I am still adamant that NHS should cover the op. I so hope you start to feel some benefit soon from the op soon. All ...

Getting treated under the NHS in the UK
Apologies. I think I rather cut across the main theme of the post-op postings with my rant. I meant to respond more fully to Shirley’s query below, but my ire and frustration carried me away. So: Hi Everyone, I am about to undergo the surgery route at Bristol. I have had this two years and diagnosed...

Re: Memory Foam for sitting or lying?
I thought it was about time I reported back on this one. I did not find memory foam much use for making a cushion to sit on. Without a cut-out it was only comfortable for a short time, and with a section cut out it tended to collapse. I had better experience with egg-box type foam, that is when I fi...
