Re: Can anyone give me medical proof of negative side effect

Speaking for myself, I had a horrible experience with nerve blocks. I had been scheduled to have a series of five blocks in Maryland. The first two were non events. Minor temporary relief. The third........AND Last was devastating. Where my pain once had at least some "flare cycles," it be...

Re: Best type of excercise for male PNE patients

I've been trying to find a way to rebuild myself too. My body has steadily withered away. I can't even wear a watch anymore. It spins like a top around my wrist on the tightest setting. People that haven't seen me in awhile are shocked at my physical deteriorization. I could go on, but the basic iss...

Re: Any experience with this type of pain management?

Thanks everyone, I don't know what I'll end up doing, but I have a little different perspective. My initial appointment was scheduled by the doctor I normally see. I don't think he understands this pain mgmt. rehab completely as he talked in terms of possibly getting more effective medication. He's ...

Any experience with this type of pain management?

Whenever I post anything, I never feel much need to describe pain as we all have it. I've had PN for nearly 7 years now. This past year has been very intense with no breaks. After a lifetime of working, I've recently gone on disability. Very hard decision, but with travel and such........I'm done. I...

Re: Doing very bad during test phase

Thanks Helen, Actually the Doctor that did the surgery has a colleague in Detroit he's going to contact. I don't know who, but I've got to follow up on that as it will likely be needed as I haven't heard anything yet. He might be waiting for me to recover a bit from what happened, but none of the su...

Re: Doing very bad during test phase

Thank you, Amanda, Sorry I haven't been on for a while. Hard to answer your question about how many. This is the "world famous" Cleveland Clinic. It's the place where I was originally damaged in 2006, but I really spend no time blaming them. Believe it or not, I have a sense that I might h...

Doing very bad during test phase

I'm a little reluctant to post as I think this might be an example of one. If that's the case, I don't want spook anyone considering neurostimulation. On the 13th of this month I had surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in the hope that neurostimulation might relieve some of my pain. My pain used to be d...

Re: Can anyone give me medical proof of negative side effect

I'm certainly no authority on guided blocks, but I can give my own experience. I had one several years ago which was more diagnostic. I've had 1 per month for three months, done in Baltimore. I felt some short term "hours" relief with two of them. Like most, my pain is constant. Several ti...
