Re: Suitable cushion for recliner and/or zero gravity chair

I use the double "Wondergel" cushion, for my Lafuma portable zero gravity to distribute my weight away from sensitive spots when outdoors or visiting a friend. I simultaneously use a firm (hard plastic) back support with soft, polyurethane foam and fabric cover to support my SIJ, which was...

Re: Desperate for a Cushion or an Office Chair! Please Help!

My two favorite cushions are the firmest from Cushion Your Assets and the large, executive cushion with a cut-out approximately 12" X 4" in the middle from McCarty's Sacroease. Good luck.

Re: Feldenkrais - Alternative Physical Therapy

Feldenkrais disciple Josef Dellagrotte's first dvd hugely helped my walking, the day after one 45-minute practice session. (Walking became difficult approximately 1 1/2 years after surgical destruction, bi-laterally, of my sacrotuberous and sacrospinous ligaments). For more walking lessons, I have h...

Re: Living room "Bed" ideas?

Ergoquest has an amazing selection of zero gravity chairs and specialized computer desk set-ups. More expensive than my set-up, but may work better for some people.

Re: Living room "Bed" ideas?

I use a Backsaver zero gravity chair for daytime. At night, I use a moderately firm Tempurpedic mattress. I have a flat bed;however, an adjustable bed that can be set in the zero gravity position might be more comfortable.

Re: Living room "Bed" ideas?

I use an older model of the Backsaver leather zero gravity chair for hours each day, during the daytime. With this, I use a computer keyboard, monitor and clipboard mounted on an arm that swings over me. The desktop computer and four ten-lb. weights are mounted on the base which supports the arm. Th...

Kenneth Peters, M.D., at Beaumont Health Systems in Detroit, has performed 200 procedures of direct implantation of electrode(s) on pudendal nerve(s) for control of urinary, bowel and pain symptoms, via neuromodulation. (His surgical approach is via the buttocks, which differs from the L.I.O.N. proc...

Re: (Former) Dr. Quesada Patients

I have traveled (lying down with my wife driving) a few times a year for several years to see Eduardo Quesada, MD-- a trip of over four hours, each way. Two things that have helped at various times, which he did for me were Botox to the obturator internus and piriformis muscles and radiofrequency ab...

Re: Walking aids

Oops! Lacrosse ball irritated pudendal nerve. Sciatica relief from stretches lasts just a few minutes; they also irritate pudendal nerve. I may have no choice, but Botox.

Re: Walking aids

I wear custom-fitted knee ligament braces, which helps my walking tremendously. My braces are made by Townsend. I do not have trouble with my knees as such. Rather, it seems that weakened pelvic stability puts a strain on my knees. Prolotherapy has helped. Recently, I developed sciatica-like problem...
