Re: Tailbone
Mine is turned under a bit & I do get pain. When it became too unbearable, I went to the doc & he injected it with Depo-Medrol. Helped right away & lasted quite awhile. I avoid sitting too long, sitting directly on my tailbone, & sitting on hard surfaces.. I also have arthritis in my...

Re: New To This Site and Hoping For Help...
Thanks, Violet. The procedure helped for a few weeks, but I'm back to pre-procedure headache pain levels.. It took the pain down to about half of what it had been, & I was hopeful it'd last for more than a few weeks.. However, the docs had said it may not work at all, or it could last up to a ye...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
I hated Lyrica too.. I gained so much weight & felt sleepy all the time. It also worsened my depression. Everyone's different, tho. Cymbalta helped to start with, but it was very expensive. I got breakthrough pain while on it, & weighing that against the cost, I went off Cymbalta too.. What ...

Re: New To This Site and Hoping For Help...
On Tuesday, I'm going for a nerve ablation in my neck, hoping it'll help my headache of 2 1/2 years.. They will do C4 through C7 (if they can get that last one), & if not, they'll do C4 through C6.. I'm really hoping it'll help my headache disappear completely or at least lessen it.. The last tw...

Re: New To This Site and Hoping For Help...
Thanks, Violet.. I never thought it would get better when it was at it's worst.. No, the injections are for my headache pain.. And my tailbone.. I guess I've just learned not to stress as much, & when I do get a flare-up, I've learned that stressing only makes it worse.. I'm currently into day t...

Re: New To This Site and Hoping For Help...
Just wanted to pass out cake & balloons to everyone.. Today is the 4 year anniversary of my PGAD, & I have to say that while it's still there, it has become manageable & not as bothersome as it was even a year ago.. THERE IS HOPE.. IT CAN GET BETTER.. IT WILL GET BETTER.. I wish everyone...

Re: Compounding Cream for PGAD?
It's always trial & error, since we're all different. I do hope you all can find something that works for you. I've tried several meds that didn't agree with me. Some helped a bit, some a lot, but the side effects of most of them were difficult to deal with.. Good luck.

Re: check for endometriosis
Penny, I'm so glad you found some things that are helping you. I may have endometriosis, but I know for sure I also have adenomyosis. I've had it probably at least 8 or 9 years, maybe longer. It's a cousin of endometriosis. A pelvic ultrasound or MRI will help the doctors diagnose it, if you do have...

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
Hi Laurina,
Yes, it reduces my symptoms by more than 50% most of the time, so definitely worth asking your doctor about. Once you can break the pain/arousal cycle & get some relief, you'll wonder how you lived without the topical cream. At least that's how I feel about it.. Good luck!

Re: PGAD - persistent genital arousal disorder
Has anyonr found Gabapentin or Hyroxyzine helpful for pgad? Hi Lindsey, Yes, I have a cream with 5% Lidocaine and 6% Gabapentin, which is what has helped my PGAD the most. I apply it twice a day whenever I need to. Starts to work within minutes for me, & lasts several hours.. Everyone's differe...
