Lorraine Faehndrich anyone? Pelvic pain coach

Other than Lernica, has anyone else taken any of Lorraine's courses, or had therapy with her?
I've heard good things, but I would love any other feed back, it's costly..... but thankfully non-invasive.

Thank so much,
Debbie

Re: Centralized Pain in CPP

Just curious, for those that have centralized pain, what have you found most helpful from a medication perspective?
For me, it's the use of hydrocodone - when it gets beyond a 5 for me, I take a half tablet. It's helps take the edge off.
Sometimes a good nights sleep helps too.

Re: Coming off Duloxetine 90mg

Hi Chrissy, Ditto what Stephanie mentioned, try a 30 mg dose. Also, my physician helped me by having me take a very low dose of noritriptyline .... Maybe the last month or so, and that helped me a lot. The slower, and lower the dose the better. Best of luck, wish I was coming off some of my meds soo...

Lyrica - increase in back muscle pain?? anyone?

Just curious did anyone experience an increase in muscle pain, especially in their back while taking Lyrica? I don't have the best spine... haha. I have had a few flares of the sciatic nerve over the past 25 years. But I can't seem to shake this achy back feeling. Its so stiff- can be mid back, low ...

Dr. Sheila Dugan - Chicago area- anyone?

She is co-medical director of the Rush Program for Abdominal and Pelvic Health.
Just got her name from a very good pelvic PT in my area. Said she has several patients raving about her.
Not sure why they saw her.... but anyone hear of her? See her?

Thanks... Debbie

Re: pain cause

Sure, pm me, I'm learning about it myself. Stephanie Prendergast PT has her listed on her website.
I believe Lorraine is located in NY state, maybe close to you?

I'll be around tonight and tomorrow afternoon.

Re: pain cause

Hi Kathy, Have you ever looked into any of Lorraine Faehndrich courses? She is a Womans Mind-Body coach, and had terrible vulvodynia herself. Perhaps you have explored this already. I believe there are several women who post on HOPE that have been helped. If you are exploring the mind-body connectio...

Re: TENS machine?

Hi Poppy, My pelvic floor PT feels an IF machine is better - so here is another option if the TENS doesn't help. Tens didn't help me either, and the IF was a good distraction to the pain. The model I used was a combo Tens and IF - you can read all about it at OTC Wholesale. This one was about $80 US...

Re: What is left to try?

Hi- I too have one sided foot pain, on and off. To me it feels like sciatic type searing nerve pain, but it's not down the back of my leg (thank goodness). It's usually across the top of my foot, and sometimes my foot feels sort of numb. If I put a micro wave heat pack on it, it usually helps it go ...
