Re: Workplace cover

Hi Soula,
Yes, I understand where you're coming from. There has been an increasing erosion of rights under workers' compensation for a number of years. I'm basing this comment on what I read/see in news reports. I have no reason to doubt their accuracy.
All the best
Jackson.

Re: Chronic Pelvic Pain Sydney

Hi Chand,
It's good to hear someone having progress with the conservative approach with Prof. V. We don't really get much feedback about Sydney , so thanks for keeping us informed on your situation.
Cheers

Re: Chronic Pelvic Pain Sydney Update

Below is an email message from Prof. Vancaillie: Hi Catherine, A study on the 'natural history of pudendal nerve block' which we recently finished (a manuscript has been submitted for publication last month) shows that there is substantial improvement in at least 40% of the patients. And that is af...

Re: laparoscopic PNE surgery

Hi Helen, Wow, that's some battle you are going through with tribunals etc. Sounds like you could do with a large pair of scissors to cut through all that red tape (no joke intended). That was a very detailed reply. It certainly explains the 4 diagnoses you've had for pelvic neuralgia. And piriformi...

Re: laparoscopic PNE surgery

In fact I have been offered decompression surgery (OH YES I HAVE!!! but only the sciatic nerve :( ) by a local orthopedic surgeon, who would normally offer a laparoscopic option, but (if I do say yes) he would opt to do the decompression as an open surgery in this case. Take care, Helen Hi Helen, I...

Re: Workplace cover

Hi, I've had a quick look at the petition. I'm not sure why the organizers have addressed the petition to the Prime Minister, Julia Gillard. Workers' compensation is not a federal government issue (with the exception of Fed' employees). 'Workcover' workers' compensation is the responsibility of Stat...

Re: Hernia

Hi Karyn, I drove for the first time today. I went to the gym to walk my mile on the treadmill. I'm getting a little faster each day. Today Dr Meyers wants me to start doing some other rehab exercises so that's on the agenda for after lunch. I still have a lot of numbness so it's really hard to gau...

Re: Surgery or not?

Hi, At http://www.obgynnews.com there is a recent article by Dr. Hibner titled 'Pudendal Neuralgia' 04/06/12. On page 3 under Diagnosis he says : "To date, there are no imaging studies that are reliable for diagnosis. Ongoing advances in MRI and MRN may make these modalities valuable in the fut...

Re: Post nerve block pain HELP

Shana, what kind of nerve block was it? I'm sorry things got worse for you. There are reports from some patients of very bad reactions or results from nerve blocks although it is uncommon and usually temporary. Violet Hi Voilet, Temporary? So have you heard of any/many permanently worse results fro...

Re: workstation idea

http://www.admagic.com/chair/chair.html I want one of these standing chairs! I would spend all my time adjusting it,which would lead to further injury/injuries (seriously). Although, if you don't have musculoskeletal issues then perhaps it's the answer. Sure looks nice! :) In reference to painful m...
