can you switch from Methadone to something less strong?
A few months ago my dr. switched me from Hydrocodone to Oxycontin because I had been on hydrocodone for a year and she was afraid it could damage my liver. After a few days I was having a lot of break through pain so she had me start taking hydro in between. That was working ok, but still seemed lik...

Dr. changed prescription and now I feel worse
My doctor changed my pain meds from 7.5/325 hydrocodone 45 mg a day to oxycontin 60 mg a day and it does not seem to help. She said I could take hydrocodone for breakthrough pain, but did not elaborate. I called in today and talked to the nurse and she said it was fine to take a hydrocodone if I was...

Why is my Dr. giving an injection different than the PT sugg
My PT told my Dr. that my obturator internus is rock hard and that I will need trigger point injections. My dr. is going to give me two...one in the lumborum and one in the psoas& quadratus....I am wondering why she is doing something different than what was suggested. Side note....This is the d...

Dr. wants to see me to change pain meds
My Dr. is having me come in to change my pain meds. I currently take 7.5 hydrocodone ...6-7 pills a day. I think it used to be /500 but she already changed it to /325. Her nurses message said she wants to talk to me about taking something more long term (maybe long lasting...I can't remember). does ...

Re: Really wondering what the procedure is and if it works
Thank you so much for your advice and information. They have not said what they would inject...I believe my PT thinks that it is the obturator internus...that is the one she mentions. although she talks about the nerve too and piriformus muscle. I did have an injection for the pudendal nerve months ...

Really wondering what the procedure is and if it works
I posted here a few months ago with my story ...and as you all know the saga continues. Since my last post I have been to the orthopedic Dr., been sent to integrated health for yoga, massage therapy, acupuncture and therapy. Been sent to a second pain specialist who did an injection in my lower spin...

Re: Which should I do?
I think the Dr. was experienced in giving nerve blocks...but not sure how experienced she is with this problem. I went to see her today and she increased the Gabapentin, is referring me to a Integrated Health Clinic associated with the hospital/practice. I'm not sure how I feel about that or if I th...

Re: Which should I do?
It was done in my bottom and they had some type of xray machine they were watching it with. Although I could not see what was going on, when I laid down I could see it above me and they said they would use that to see where to go.
