Re: Post-Surgery and returning to work
Barb, I wish I had a great solution but I don't. I got to my best recovery after 7 months but only able to work 5-6 hours. I was told any improvement from surgery was success, certainly not to expect full recovery. There is a point that you need to accept that you can't do everything you could befor...

Re: Post-Surgery and returning to work
Hi Barb, You are in a tough place trying to decide what to do. I was in a similar state but had an easy out. After surgery although it helped somewhat full time work didn't seem possible. My doctor suggested that I not try to get back to full time. 5-5 1\2 hours was my max. Because I was able as a f...

Re: PN /PNE Diagnosis
Welcome
I would suggest reading the FAQ off the home page that guides you through how to deal with PN and diagnosis. Lifestyle changes like no bicycling and swimming but no breaststroke, etc.

Re: Do I have pudendal neuralgia?
Hi Future, I am actually doing pretty good with PN lately just in a flare at the moment. After PNE surgery I got a little better. I moved in 2017 to upstate NY and then had to get rediagnosed with PN, they had me go to multiple doctors, MRIs of head, neck, etc. My regular doctor took me off tramadol...

Re: Do I have pudendal neuralgia?
Yes I would say therapy is usually weekly. My pain has mostly been rectal and prior to PN I had levator Ani muscle spasms, not sure if one causes the other.

Re: Do I have pudendal neuralgia?
Welcome Future,
Sorry you're suffering for so long. You certainly have some PN related symptoms. You may want to compare you list to the symptoms list in the home page. You also may want to see a PN knowledgeable physical therapist, a list is on the home page.

Hi Wizimum,
I am not sure if disc disease causes PN but I think both can happen at once. Have you seen a pelvic floor physical therapist? Maybe that can loosen up a tight muscle and/or recommend a doctor see in your area. There is a list of physical therapists on the home page.
